Valley Christian running back/defensive back Morian Walker Jr. has been invited to play in a Blue-Grey All-American Bowl at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas — home of the Dallas Cowboys — on Dec. 20.
“It was a complete blessing,” Walker Jr. said after Valley Christian defeated Archbishop Riordan last week. “I’m just glad that I went out to the regional camp and went out to the super combine. I showed up there and kept in contact with all the Blue-Grey staff.
“They really liked me and said they were going to put me on the roster. I am really excited for that. I think it is just a complete blessing to end my high school season at the Dallas Cowboys stadium.”
The only potential conflict, of course, is if Valley Christian continues to win.
If that were to happen, the Warriors could be playing the weekend of Dec. 19-20 in a state championship game, and Walker Jr. said he would definitely play in the state title game.
It’s possible that Walker Jr. could play in one of the two All-American Bowls in January — at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida., on Jan. 9 or at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Florida, on Jan. 16.
